Things you should know

We do have wild animal visitors that you may never see but should be aware of  

• Lizards --- they are all over the property, they are harmless and eat lots of insects.
• Frogs / Tree Frogs --- You will most likely hear them at night. Some time we find them in the pool in the morning. We have not seen any Cane Toads.
• Snakes --- you may see a Black Racer sliding through the foliage, they are non venomous and eat critters we don't want.
• Rabbits / Squirrels --- you will see them in the grassy areas
• Black Bears --- they have been know to wander through the property at night especially in the fall. That is why we keep the gates closed to discourage them.
• Deer --- Since we have started to groom our 'Back 40' as we call the area behind the guest house we have started to see deer nibbling on the grass. Our property extends another 300 ft beyond the chain link fence.
• Bugs and Spiders --- We regularly spray for insects on the exterior of the guesthouse and grounds. This is South Florida and it is very hard to eliminate them all. Flying biting insects are all around especially in the early morning and evening. We suggest you use insect repellent. We have supplied one of the medicine cabinets with a very good gel for itching..
• Sulfur Smell --- We are on a well, Our drinking water runs through a RO system and a Charcoal filter before it reaches the guest house. For every gallon of drinkable water the well pumps 3 and what you smell is the excess being pumped out in the back area. Well water is also used to irrigate. Sprinklers come on starting at midnight.
• Loss of Water --- The water system has a 250 gallon holding tank. Sometime we run out 1/ a toilet continues to run 2/ both houses are washing clothes/dishes and showering 3/ loss of power.  If at ANY time your find that you do not have water let us know by calling or texting us - 352-205-9339 Full water service will usually be restored in a few hours.
• Pool Maintenance --- The pool is serviced each week, usually on Tuesday early afternoon. The pool could be closed for a few hours after chemicals have been added. As a point of reference the pool is a Salt Water pool and it does not make you itch and is much kinder to spandex bathing suits
• Lawn / Yard Maintenance --- The grass is usually cut the last Friday/Saturday of the month. In the summer this maybe also done mid month. We also are in a continuous weed control, trimming, etc. on the over 1 acre of property .
• Trash Collection --- Trash is collected multiple times a week. On Monday Night Garbage and Recyclables are put on the street. Yellow lid is for Recycle, Green lid for garbage. On Thursday night Garbage is put out for pickup.  If you have large boxes leave them out of the recycle and they will be taken care of. Trash bins are by the wooden gate.
• Dog Waste --- You are responsible for collecting your pets waste. Tools and receptacle are at the Yoga Studio Building. 
• Lanai Use --- We do allow guests to use our private lanai for playing cards. puzzles and getting out of the sun or rain during the day. The indoor bar, grill etc is off limits. There is a separate grill for guest use
• Yoga Studio/Workout building --- We have a separate building  especially designed for yoga and it also contains some workout equipment.  Please connect with us to unlock that building...... UNDER CONSTRUCTION
• Massage Services --- We offer massage services to our guests.  For 20+ Years Lorna was a licensed Rehab Therapist in Colorado Springs. Now she offers her services at very favorable rates to our guests.  Massage can be done in the guest house, in the Yoga Studio or in a private outdoor setting.
